Hi, I am Sverrir Thorsteinsson, founder and manager of Blue Mountain Motorcycle tours. I am born 1963 and a family man with four children and have been riding motorcycles for 25 years. Travelling has always been a passion of mine and by combining travelling and motorcycles I found my place in life. I have been travelling around Iceland since I was a little boy with my father who was one of the first highland guides in Iceland. Now I am doing this fulltime after a successfull life in the business world for 20 years. I am trained as an professional pilot and a chef, have IATA travel marketing diploma, MBA degree from the Reykjavik University, so my education, hobby and experience make me very qualified for the adventures job I am doing now. Hallo, I am Haukur Thorsteinsson (Hawk), Sverris brother, and I joined the company 26 Feb 2009, as a co-owner. I am 43 years old, married and have 2 kids, both great riders. I love riding motorcycles and have been riding since I was 14. I have been traveling and racing motocross and Enduro all over the world for many years. My profession is Mechanic, but for the most time of my working carreer, I have been working in the outdoor. I ran a ski-area for 13 years and was a ski instructor for many years. I have also been teaching people to ride, so if you need instructions and want to improve yourself regarding motorcycle riding, I would love to show you some tricks and tips. Herdís Jónsdóttir is Sverris wife, and is the marketing/sales manager of the company. Herdís is a successful business woman and has been in the retail business for 20 years. Now she takes care of the office and when she is not working on our next tour or taking care of their children, she is playing golf, because that is her passion together with travelling in Iceland or abroad. Theodóra B Heimisdóttir is Hawks wife and she is also a great rider. Born 1964 and has been competing and riding for couple of years. Propebly one of the most experienced female motocross and enduro rider in Iceland. Tedda has been riding and racing all over the world. Traveling and riding is her passion. Working with people is what se like to do and she was a ski instructor for 10 years. If you would like to have a lady guide for the girls or lady guide for the guys, Tedda is the perfect tour guide. Einar Thorsteinsson, is Sverrir's and Haukur´s older brother and will be a guide with us for some of the tours this summer. Einar is an engineer and CEO and loves riding on his motorcycle. He is the mechanic of the team and can do miracles when some problems arise with the motorcycle. He has been riding for over 30 years now, but he likes to do things differently! He loves motorcycles that are different from others and likes to tell good stories. He is a family man with four children. Einar looks forward to ride with you in our great country.
Dr. Gudmundur Björnsson, doctor of the team and Sverrir's friend, is a medical doctor and a specialist in rehabilitation and is working as an independant medical advisor in insurance medicin. He will be on hand if neccesary and if something comes up we can always call or meet him. Dr. Gudmundur Björnsson is a very experienced rider and loves riding and travelling. He will surely be on some tours this summer.
