- Facts about Iceland
The Icelandic weather. The Icelandic weather is unpredictable and riding around Iceland can be a challenge. Strong wind, heavy rain, low temperature and even snow, are all weather conditions that you can experience in the tour, and whats more, all in one day ! You should always bring your warmest clothes, and we reccomend that you bring your own riding gear, helmet, thermal underwear and socks and in general, warm and good clothing. What we provide We have always on hand rain-gear and rain-gloves if needed, along with other important items such as GPS navigation, tyre repair kit, sleeping bags(when needed), extensive first aid kit, emergency radio and satelite phone. What to bring As mentioned above, you should bring all your best riding gear and warm clothes. Other items you should take with you are personal items such as cameras, videos, sunglasses, mobile phone (900/1800 mhz), passport, driving licence. Thermal underwear of wool and fleece are the best you can get. We use winter gloves all year round here in Iceland.
